Nashville's Only Lakeside Golf Community

Fairvue Plantation, a stately, Georgian-style mansion built in 1832, is the grande dame of a signature golf course community in Gallatin, Tennessee. Once one of the finest homes in Tennessee and now a National Historic Landmark, Fairvue Plantation gets its name from its idyllic promontory atop a broad hill that overlooks 2,000 lush green acres.

The plantation built a grand reputation as “the finest sporting estate in the world” with an active outdoor agenda of thoroughbred horses, polo and fox hunting. Its reign continued until the Great Depression. 

Now its new owners are writing a new chapter in its history, while remaining true to its sporting heritage with the new Fairvue Plantation golf community. 

The clubhouse features a fitness center and pool.

The golf community, which is wrapped around the feet of the mansion, covers more than 500 acres, and takes advantage of the immense beauty, rich traditions and vast recreational opportunities offered by the historic site, and is Nashville's only lakeside golf community.

Lakefront Golf Courses
Topping the amenities are two challenging 7,100 yard, 18-hole golf courses designed by prominent architect Bill Bergin: The Lake Course and Foxland Course. Both courses wind through the Fairvue and Foxland Hall properties with several holes playing directly along the water. The courses are impeccably maintained with bent grass greens, zoysia and cavalier zoysia fairways and Bermuda roughs.

Visitors agree that the 18th hole on the lake course is one of the most memorable and challenging in the South. A par-5, this scenic finish stretches alongside five 170-year-old mare barns before bending right to a dramatic conclusion on the shore of Old Hickory Lake directly below the Fairvue Mansion.

Local Attractions
Located just outside of Nashville, Fairvue Plantation residents can easily head into the city and go shopping along the historic waterfront, take in a professional sporting event or a musical show. Pro sport options include the Tennessee Titans (NFL),  Nashville Predators (NHL), (Nashville Sounds (AAA baseball) and Nashville International Speedway.

The gentle Gallatin countryside is a good escape, too, with an annual concert by the Nashville Symphony Orchestra, Lions Club Minstrel, Volunteer State Tobys, Community and Children's Choirs and more than 445 acres of parks.
