Taylor Hicks, a property owner at The Oaks, appeared at last year's Grand Opening .

All utilities to homesites run underground, and protective covenants are instilled to preserve the beauty of the community.  In fact, GPI’s striking appeal convinced PORTICO Magazine to choose GPI as the site of their 2007 Dream Home. Taylor Hicks, of American Idol fame, owns a lot in The Oaks.

About the Lake Guntersville Area
Guntersville is located in the Northeast Alabama Mountain-Lakes region on the Tennessee River. Just 25 miles south of Huntsville, the park is centrally located 90 miles north of Birmingham, 150 miles south of Nashville, and 150 miles northwest of Atlanta.

While the lake is the city’s defining feature, the Appalachian foothills location makes Guntersville an ideal location for many outdoor pursuits. If fishing, swimming, or boating are not your thing, choose a lakeside hammock, mountain bike, golf course, hunting field, campsite or dramatic overlook.
