The
Settings of West Point Lake
LaGrange, Georgia

Surrounded by forests, rolling hills and scenic shorelines,
The Settings
celebrates the quiet charms and sporting passions of lakeside
living.
Description
The Settings
of West Point Lake stretches across its 479-acre landscape on
the shores of West Point Lake. Homesites are carefully
positioned to help residents make the most of their pristine
surroundings, with some 30 percent of the community preserved
as greenspace.
The long and sinuous West Point Lake is one of the Southeast's
best-kept secrets. Expanding to 26,000 acres of water surface,
it is one of the first lakes in the Southeast created by the
Army Corps of Engineers for which recreation was one of the
primary objectives.

Thirty percent of the community is preserved as greenspace.
Ideal for Boaters
Rimmed by 525 miles of shoreline, West Point Lake is a
boater's paradise, with boat launches in 34 public recreation
areas. Two private marinas provide fuel, storage, repairs,
rentals and supplies—whether your preference is sailing, wind
surfing or power boating.

With boat launches in 34
public recreation areas, access is easy.
West Point Lake is “one of the best bass fishing lakes in the
nation,” according to Joey Mines, host of the television
fishing show “Outdoors with Joey Mines.” It’s also great for
crappie and catfish, and a regular site for important regional
fishing tournaments.
Unlike many Georgia lakefront communities, The Settings of
West Point Lake enables all property owners to have a private
boat slip. Whether you prefer a waterfront or an interior
homesite, a slip will be included with purchase—even built and
maintained for you.

West Point Lake is “one of the best bass fishing
lakes in the nation.”
And if you’re hiking down to secluded coves, practicing your
serve or unwinding with a beverage and a sunset on the
clubhouse deck, you'll discover that everything about this gated community
is designed to put you at your ease.
Proposed amenities include a lakeside clubhouse, community
docks, a swimming pool, tennis courts, nature trails,
wilderness parks and storage for RVs and boats.
Local Culture & Dining
The Settings of West Point Lake is one of those rare places
where you can spend a day on the water and a night at the
symphony. About 12 miles away, downtown LaGrange offers the
conveniences usually found only in much larger metropolitan
areas.
Here you'll find intriguing dining venues (from gourmet to
down home), remarkable cultural diversions and wonderful
shopping. Among its many attractions, LaGrange features two
art galleries, a symphony orchestra, a ballet company, a lyric
theater company and an airport.

Enjoy sunsets from the
clubhouse deck.

About the Area
LaGrange prides itself on providing a big city lifestyle with
a small town atmosphere. With two colleges, an extensive arts
community, wonderful parks and facilities for nearly every major
sport, LaGrange offers much more than cities of similar size
around the country.
LaGrange offers history, shopping, art galleries,
restaurants—virtually anything you could want, right downtown.
Nearby, among rolling hills, the cities of Hogansville and West
Point are known for charming shops, great antiques and wonderful
restaurants.

The lake will delight you with great views any
time of day.
Delight your senses at the famed LaGrange Hydrangea Festival.
Take in an art exhibit in an 1892 Victorian building that used
to be the Troup County Jail. Attend a performance by the
LaGrange Symphony Orchestra or the Lafayette Ballet.
On the campus of LaGrange College—the oldest private college in
Georgia, founded in 1831—you'll find the Lamar Dodd Art Center,
which features works by Rembrandt, Houdon, Dali, Picasso, Elaine
and Willem DeKooning, Henry Moore, Robert Rauschenberg, Don
Reitz and many others.
About 30 miles away, Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park is
Georgia's largest state park, comprising 9,049 acres and two
lakes. FDR State Park features several structures built by
President Roosevelt's Civilian Conservation Corps during the
Great Depression.
To the south, the famous Little White House and Franklin D.
Roosevelt Museum can be found in Warm Springs. What became
Franklin D. Roosevelt's Presidential Retreat began as a simple
home he built in 1932 when he was still Governor of New York.
The Jimmy Carter National Historic Site in Plains includes
President Carter's residence, boyhood farm home, school and the
railroad depot which served as his campaign headquarters during
the 1976 election.
For college sport at its finest, just over the Alabama state
line lies Auburn University, home of the Auburn Tigers, one of
the most successful National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA)
Division I-A college football programs in the last 50 years.
