Description

Treasure Lake is a private, gated master-planned community set amidst a canvas of lake, forest and golf courses. Treasure Lake offers two PGA- golf courses -- the Silver Golf Course and the Gold Golf Course.

Treasure Lake offers two championship courses.

Both are carved from varied woodland terrain and groomed to the highest standards. Each has its own clubhouse, pro shop and dining facilities. The Silver Golf Course recently hosted the Regional Qualifiers for the U.S. Open in 2011.

Treasure Lake is a private, gated community.

Lakefront Living
In addition to golf, Treasure Lake is highlighted by three lakes. Its 379-acre power boat lake is equipped with a fully stocked marina and 200 rental boat slips. Residents also enjoy 277-acre Lake Bimini, with its small white-sand beach and boat launch.

Little Flipper Lake is a small, well-stocked lake with nature trails and picnic areas. Those who frequent the lakes enjoy sailing, water skiing, kayaking, canoeing and fishing for bass and other local species. During the winter, skaters and ice fisherman come out to play on the lakes.

Residents enjoy three lakes here.

Treasure Lake is loaded with amenities including tennis courts, swimming pools, fitness center, beaches, parks, playgrounds, an equestrian center, cross country ski trails, a tubing hill and more.

About the Area
Within four miles of the Treasure Lake entrance, residents find stores, restaurants, churches, a movie theater and a high-quality regional medical center with 24/7 cardiac center, cancer center, women's health center, joint center, behavioral sciences center and short-term rehabilitation facilities.

The local Penn State University campus is also nearby, along with state parks and world-class fly fishing streams. Cultural and sports events are a short day trip to State College and Pittsburgh.

Although set in a natural surrounding, Treasure Lake is near conveniences.

Regional Attractions 
Regional attractions include the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts, Held each July, this festival showcases original arts from across the nation, along with artist performances and demonstrations. At the same time, the People's Choice Festival takes place in nearby Boalsburg.

Scenic Elk Drive is just a half hour drive from Treasure Lake's entrance, and is part of 127-mil Pennsylvania Wilds area in North Central Pennsylvania. The Scenic Elk area allows the opportunity to see the largest herd of elk east of the Rockies. Its visitor center features scenic vistas with bald eagles, hawks and wild turkeys.

Treasure Lake is located in the state of Pennsylvania which does not tax retirement income. The Pennsylvania lottery is also retirement-friendly, with money going to help senior citizens.
