Take advantage of the Discovery Packages, Vacation Packages, Golf Packages and Weekend Packages offered below so that you can experience a community before you buy. People often buy where they vacation and many communities offer specially priced 3 day/2 night package so you can, in effect, be a member for a day in which can enjoy all the benefits of membership and see firsthand what being a member could be like.

If you take advantage of a package, make sure you ask if you can meet some residents who would be willing to tell you what life is like at the community. Many communities have Ambassador programs for which residents volunteer so they can spread the word about how great their community is. Pricing of packages varies from $99 to as high as $699. Generally, the higher the package cost, the higher the real estate prices.

Once visiting the community, make sure you tour what is outside of the gates as well as inside so you can see where the market, dry cleaner, university and services are located.

Lakewood Ranch, FL introduces a Wine & Dine Membership open to area residents which will provide a new opportunity to socialize at Lakewood Ranch and savor the culinary offerings of Chef Paul Evans. The Wind & Dine Membership is available June 16 through Sept. 30, 2009 and is limited to the first 50 sign-ups. Wachesaw Plantation Club. SC just hosted the 11th Annual Can-Am Junior Team golf matches. On the second day of the matches, the American team earned 74 ˝ of 144 possible points to defeat the Canadian squad 114-102. The matches were contested over the 6,853-yard Wachesaw Plantation Club course, home to the Can-Am since 2002.
